Year 10 Science

​It's complicated as a parent. Your son/daughter may be following the Double Award or Separate Science routes. To further complicate things they may be entering Higher tier exams (A*-D) or Foundation Tier (C-G).




All you need to know is this. Your son/daughter is studying biology, chemistry and physics. In year 10 they will all sit the first unit exams. If they are on the Separate Science route they will have started studying their second units but probably won't sit the exams until year 11 (Although this varies from school to school. If your son/daughter is in year 10 but you want to join our 'year 11' workshop that is fine).

Our workshop will run from 9am-4pm. It will be delivered in 3, 2 hour sessions with 2 breaks. So thats 2 hours Chemistry, 2 hours Biology and 2 hours physics.  Each session will be delivered by a teacher that is a specialist in the delivery of that subject. Each session will be tailored to the needs of that particular small group. That could be key topics and skills required for getting and A* or key advice and strategies to help ensure a grade C. What's more, we collaborate closely to ensure that there is minimal overlap in the skills taught in each session.
